enter_stat — Enter data samples for Usage Based Billing

Synopsis

/usr/local/billmax/bin/enter_stat {stype} {sgroup} {svalue} [-h]

DESCRIPTION

Enters data samples for Usage Based Billing.

OPTIONS

-h

Displays program usage.

stype

The type of sample captured.

sgroup

The group to which this sample belongs. The most common value is a Service number.

svalue

The actual value(s) for the recorded sample(s). This may contain more than one sample. If it contains more than one, the value must be Named Samples.

RETURN VALUE

0 for success.

EXAMPLE

enter_stat "Bandwidth" 12345 "in=356.2,out=288.9"

NOTES

Data samples are first validated against constraints derived from the Usage Plan associated with the sgroup. If the sample data is formatted correctly, the sample data is loaded and intermediate calculations are made for usage and costs unless the environment variable BX_NOUSAGECOMPUTATIONS is present. See documentation for Usage plans for details on how the computations are used.
