Chapter 1. Overview

BillMax maintenance involves several steps:

Daily reviewing the nightly log and taking any necessary corrective actions.
Monitoring diskspace.
Backing up to offline storage:
1. The backups of the MySQL database.
2. The MySQL log file.
3. The DBLOG log file.
4. The Electronic Funds Processing log files.
5. Local customizations to the BillMax system.
Other Maintenance Tasks
1. Optionally archive/purge the datacall table.
2. Review the list of auth.users.
3. Review the UNIX system logs.
4. Review the email of the user "root".

The following discussions assume a typical BillMax installation.
