ccck.pl — Validate the construction of a credit card number

Synopsis

/usr/local/billmax/bin/ccck.pl [number]

DESCRIPTION

Validates the construction of a credit card number. It does not test whether the credit card is good from a credit card processor point of view, only that the number supplied might represent a valid credit card.

The intended use of ccck is to validate credit card numbers before importing them into the BillMax database.

OPTIONS

number

The number to validate. If this option is not specified, the user is prompted for the number to validate.

-h

Show help for this program.

RETURN VALUE

0 for success.
