Adding Authorized BillMax Users:

After installing BillMax, there are two Authorized BillMax Users. These are "root" and the name supplied for the BillMax administrator when installing BillMax. By default, the "root" Authorized BillMax User is inaccessible from the Staff Interface and should not be used by anyone.

[Warning] Warning

Under no circumstances should the "root" Authorized BillMax User be disabled or deleted. This Authorized BillMax User is integral to the automated operations of BillMax.

Click on the Settings link on the Navigation Bar. Click on the "PERMISSIONS" button. The permissions page will be displayed:

The username that is used by an Authorized BillMax User to access the Staff Interface.

(2)

A more descriptive name for the Authorized BillMax User.

(3)

Used to enable or disable access for an Authorized BillMax User.

(4)

The password for an Authorized BillMax User. Use this field to set the initial password or to reset a password. The Authorized BillMax User may set their own password using the login page.

The Permissions that the Authorized BillMax User will have. Please see the discussion on Permissions in glossary in "Auxiliary Material".

The email address of the Authorized BillMax User.

Click on a link to change the sort order.

(8)

The link to click on to bring up a specific Authorized BillMax User. In this case, clicking here will bring up Authorized BillMax User "test".

Shading indicates a auth.user that has exceed the allowable number of consecutive failed login attempts.

Shows the maximum number of allowable failed login attempts before access is disabled for all Authorized BillMax Users.

(11)

Shows the maximum amount of idle time (in seconds) allowable for a Authorized BillMax User. If no new activity by the Authorized BillMax User is detected by BillMax within this time frame, the Authorized BillMax User will have to login again.

[Warning] Warning

When the Authorized BillMax User logs back in, the splash page is displayed. Any work on a previous page that has not be saved will be lost.

Click the check box and then click SAVE to re-enable access for the Authorized BillMax User

Create a new Authorized BillMax User by filling in 1-6 with the appropriate values and clicking the SAVE button. The CLEAR clears any data in the input fields.

[Warning] Warning

Two people may not use the same username at the same time. The second person to login will have access to the system and the first one will not.
