The Global Options

Global Options are options that apply to the BillMax system as a whole. This differs from Company Options which apply to a specific Virtual Company.

Click on the Settings link on the Navigation Bar. Click on the "GLOBAL OPTIONS" button. The Global Options page will be displayed:

By default, BillMax will automatically assign Account numbers when a new Account is created. Use accountholes to specify Account numbers that should never be automatically assigned by BillMax. Separate numbers with a comma (,). Use a hyphen (-) to specify ranges. Example: "2000,2300-2400,2999". There is similar functionality for Service and User processing.

By default, the number for a new Account will be he greatest Account number that ever existed in BillMax plus one. Use accountlowest to have BillMax use the minimum number available when creating a new Account

Specify which software will be used for Electronic Funds Processing. The values are maintained in the ccsofts list.

[Important] Important

This setting directs ccpost what Electronic Funds Processing software to use. The software must be installed for this setting to be effective. The setting LoopBack is for testing purposes only.

Specifying this parameter alone does not activate Electronic Funds Processing. See the section called “Configuring Electronic Funds Processing” for further steps that need to be taken.

The URL the browser display below the Navigation Bar.

The format of the display of dates in BillMax.

The locale for the BillMax installation. The value for the locale must be supported by the underlying operating system. This affects the interpretation and display of monetary values. Please contact if interested in this feature.

Specify the graphic to display above the Navigation Bar.

The system path to the print command. Essential for BillMax printing.

(9)

The system path to the sendmail command. Essential for BillMax emailing.

(10)

Specify whether to use the local (e.g. "$") or international (e.g. "USD") symbology when displaying monetary values.

(11)

The system path to the Bourne shell. Essential for BillMax operations.
