BillMax was originally designed to satisfy the requirements of ISP billing for FastLane Communications, Inc. an ISP that operated in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
BillMax features that streamline the operations of the ISP include but are not limited to:
- Automatically grant or disallow dialup access based on the financial status of a subscriber.
- Automatically grant or disallow email access based on the financial status of a subscriber.
- Automatically grant or disallow web host services based on the financial status of a subscriber.
- Allow subscribers to add new services to their account through the BillMax Customer Interface.
- Allow new subscribers to register for new services and under certain conditions be granted access to the new services within seconds of registration.
- Automatically grant or disallow network access based on the financial status of a subscriber.
- Receive usage billing data (RADIUS and non-RADIUS) and accurately bill the subscriber for the resources used, both time (amount of time online for example) and non-time (bytes transferred for example) usage data.
- Create accurate financial reports for accountants and auditors.
- Accurately assess taxes on taxable services and accurately report taxes for the taxing authorities.
- Automatically send statements to subscribers using e-mail, fulfillment service, postal mail or fax.
- Automaticall notify subscribers of significant events that may jeapordize their access to services (declined credit cards, usage exceeding pre-defined limits, etc.)
BillMax also comes a modified version of the Interlink Networks RADIUS server for collecting RADIUS accounting data. Many customers use the Radiator RADIUS server for authentication.
